«I felt that Livit was a good fit for me right from the start»

Sibylle Duppenthaler remembers her first day at Livit well. «It just felt right from day one,» she says. «I immediately felt like I belonged. I still value the openness, the culture and the sense of togetherness very much today.»

When she joined the company, she didn’t know she was going to stay that long. But over the years, new internal opportunities kept arising.

«I feel inspired when there’s room for development and doors open.»

Professionally on the move

Sibylle began her career in rental management and later switched to property management, where she spent some time working as a stand-in. This period gave her a sense of calm and a broader perspective: «I got to know a lot of ways of working, teams and locations. It was incredibly valuable.»

Today, she works as a Property Management Expert Back Office in Zurich and manages the student residence in Winterthur, among other things.

Growing with Livit

During her time at Livit, Sibylle has experienced a lot, including the advancement of digitalisation. She was there, for example, when the physical tenant files were digitised and scanned. «We used to have printers at our desks, too,» she recalls.

Over the years, many meaningful friendships have developed. To this day, she remains close with Silvana Chelós from rental management, who joined Livit almost at the same time as she did.

Sibylle knows Livit, its processes and its culture like almost no one else. She’s always keen to help new employees settle in. «I always get good feedback, which makes me very happy,» she says. She’s always there to support her teammates and answer any questions they may have.

Dialogue across generations

The soon to be 63-year-old enjoys interacting with younger colleagues in particular: «Contact with younger people keeps me young,» she says candidly. At the same time, a good mix is important to her. «Collaboration in the team works very well. I’m convinced that the different stages of life and perspectives enrich our work together.»

Learning at every stage of life

Continuous education has always been important to Sibylle, but a particularly big step for her was passing the exam for the Swiss federal diploma in property management at the age of 53. «That was a challenging time. My ambition was really put to the test again – it was very important to me to pass the exam.»

Thank you for your commitment and congratulations on your 15th anniversary with the company, Sibylle! We look forward to seeing what lies ahead!
