Livit Construction Management successfully completed a complex pipe renovation in an occupied building in Schlieren. In close collaboration with the architect and client, the modernisation of 21 apartments in three residential buildings was carried out, with a planned execution time of six weeks per pipe. The work included the renovation of kitchens and bathrooms, as well as the energy-efficient upgrade of the heating systems – an important contribution to the long-term increase in the property’s value.
The modernisation of the heating systems in particular presented organisational challenges, as the new systems had to be put into operation before the onset of winter. With precise planning of the geothermal probe drilling, it was possible to complete all the heating systems on time. The new, sustainable heat supply brings lower operating costs and more comfort for the tenants.
The execution in an occupied building and the limited storage and handling space also required careful coordination: thanks to the close collaboration between all the parties involved, the renovation was completed on schedule and with minimal disruption to residents' quality of life.
Sustainable increase in the property's value
The expert, professional work of our partner companies and the cooperative support of our tenants were crucial to the smooth execution and success of the project. Particularly noteworthy was the continuous, constructive exchange of ideas throughout the entire construction period – a key factor in the efficient implementation and complete satisfaction of the property owners.
Particularly pleasing: thanks to the economical and targeted project management, the project was not only delivered within budget, but even under budget.
The project on Zürcherstrasse in Schlieren shows how renovations can be successfully carried out while a building is still occupied. The result: improved quality of life for tenants and a sustainable increase in the property's value.
