Thanks to our digital re-letting process, there is no longer any need to provide a debt enforcement register extract because we automatically perform a credit check when we receive an application for a property. We will only ask you to provide a debt enforcement register extract if the credit check fails. Since we need the extract to be current, it should be no older than two to three months.

Yes. Always apply for your dream property, regardless of your circumstances. Due to the fact that debt recovery can be the result of a multitude of factors, we will always review such cases with due care.

We will need a copy of your residence permit or, if you don’t have one yet, a copy of your passport. If you are applying for a property through our digital application form, you will then be asked to upload the corresponding documents.

Please note the following: students only qualify for a tenancy if they are in receipt of an income or if they have a rent guarantor who is domiciled in Switzerland. If you have already paid a deposit, you will be able to arrange this with your contact in the property management team and, where applicable, the previous tenant. To organise this, please contact us using the contact form or by emailing service@livit.ch, stating your future address.

PS: Many properties come with detailed floor plans, which we will be happy to pass on to you.

The deposit must be paid in full at least one week before the lease commences.

Livit recommends Firstcaution’s products to its tenants: this company offers both rental deposit insurance and the option of storing the deposit in a bank account. Livit will also accept the submission of a surety certificate. Please note that keys cannot be collected if the deposit has not been made. The tenant is responsible for transferring the deposit on time.
