Energy policy has been shaped by dynamic changes since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. The real estate sector is being impacted by deterioration in the security of energy supply and the availability and price of natural gas and heating oil.

Livit set up its Energy Board back in spring 2022. This interdisciplinary team includes one representative from our Executive Board and one from each of our Property Management, Key Account Management, Real Estate Accounting, Facility Management and Communication departments, as well as independent advice from a renowned energy expert. The Board discusses current trends and their impact on the industry at frequent intervals and develops approaches to deploy in different scenarios.

Various logistical, legal and preventative measures were taken immediately or prepared ahead of the Federal Council’s energy-saving plan.

We proactively inform our clients and property owners of our assessments and offer advice on key upcoming activities.

Our Property Management team is notified of last-minute decisions so that they can put them into practice at the properties as quickly as possible. We also furnish them with suitable communication materials so that they can provide reliable information in their day-to-day interactions with our tenants.

In addition, we proactively share updates with our tenants via email, and all our findings and information regarding ancillary costs are available on our website. An extensive range of energy-saving tips is also published there.

Making these preparations ahead of time enables us to respond quickly to any scenario and to answer questions from owners and tenants promptly and expertly.
